Over thirty-five years ago, Jay R. Longley Jr. was enjoying another beautiful day at the beach when he saw a broken sandal littering the sand. It gave him an idea to make a better sandal, one that would last a long time and be comfortable. So the process began, he researched and developed, looking for the perfect formula for comfort sandals that get better with time. The final product was Rainbow Sandals, quality sandals that have become popular with fisherman, beach-goers and everyone in between.
Founder and owner, Jay Longley, personally formulated various densities of sponge rubber with “memory” in it so that they mold perfectly to the wearer’s feet. He used a specially formulated glue to keep the straps in place and the layers together, so there would be no more broken sandals left behind on the beach.
